Worldwide Safety Leadership Programme

Pilot programme designed for European business in 2008 – taken on by Central EHS function as a worldwide programme. 1.5 day highly interactive workshop with practical outputs (critical behaviours, Time For Safety, coaching). The focus was beyond operations – all roles involved. In 2011 a second iteration was designed focused specifically on Front Line Supervisors with a more intensive focus on operational behaviours and on providing a response to issues emerging out of the Deepwater Horizon disaster. A third iteration was designed in 2013 – updated to reflect the developing EH&S agenda and with a more significant emphasis on the follow-through process. A Development Log was designed to provide a focus for specific commitments – the process was driven by an accountability requirement represented in the form of regaulr reviews with line managers. The programme is continuing.
