Marty has over 30 years experience working in the domains of leadership development, executive coaching and transformation at the individual and organisational level. He is a seasoned instructor who is able to interact and communicate with people so that they are able to generate their own insights and learn from experience. Trained as a humanistic psychologist, he has also developed an appreciation for a behavioural approach to performance improvement. Marty served as a field psychologist in the infantry, working on optimising combat performance. He has been a management consultant in several industries, including manufacturing, consumer goods, broadcasting, technology and advertising. He was the owner of a computer-based learning methodology firm that designed and delivered fluency-based training programmes. He has worked with senior level personnel in the oil and gas industry, both internationally and domestically, in behavioural safety training. The objective has been to empower these managers to distinguish trends in unsafe behaviour that, when corrected, will avert disaster.
